Bought a pair of Oakley frame with prescription lens. Was wondering if this is truly a genuine pair of Oakley titanium frame? The greenish seen on the frame should be metal containing copper but mine is a titanium frame. Am suspecting the frame to be fake. Don’t think I’ll be going back to buy from this shop again

- Not a pleasant experience at all. I bought a pair of branded spectacles from this shop last week. During the purchase, the Chinese sales guy was very hyped and talked in a convincing way. Today, I went to collect my specs. After a quick check, I left — but while walking around the mall, I tried wearing them properly and noticed a small black mark on the lens. I tried wiping it, but it wouldn’t come off. So I went back to the shop immediately. When I told the same guy, he wiped it and said it might be a marker stain. After checking again and still seeing a mark, I handed it back to him. Initially, he said “there’s nothing,” until I insisted he check again — then finally it was cleaned properly. However, his attitude shifted after that. He began talking sarcastically, saying things like “every product has some defect,” and implying I was making a big deal out of a small issue when i was not even rude. Yes, I agree — any item, even a car, can have defects. But that’s exactly why warranty claims and customer feedback exist. As customers, we pay lot of money and have every right to report issues or request replacements when something doesn’t meet expectations — especially when it’s a branded product. Dismissing a customer’s concern as a “small matter” is highly unprofessional. I also asked him why the cover was leaving dust all over the lenses. Instead of responding professionally, he mockingly laughed, brought out several cleaning cloths and sarcastically said, “i give you many, Enough?” That attitude was completely unnecessary because my comment was about the spectacles cover even told him this could be feedback for the supplier — to which he replied, “If I tell them, they’ll think the customer is stupid.” Seriously? That’s your response? Later, I was gently wiping fingerprints off the lenses, and he started accusing me of wiping too hard. I told him I was being careful and asked him to check the CCTV if he thought otherwise. Ironically, he then aggressively wiped the lens himself to demonstrate his point — and that’s exactly how the scratch ended up on my lens. To add to all this, I asked about my frame, because I was told I’d be getting a new one — not the display unit. He told me the frame was sent to the manufacturer for reference. But this raises another question: can’t you just give the product code to the HQ or supplier? Why send the old frame unless you’re reusing it? I can’t confirm what’s going on here, but if they’re cheating customers by reusing old frames, then for the other customers be careful on this. Overall, this guy acted like I was getting the specs for free — as if it was his money being spent. It was my money, and I regret trusting this shop. Never going back again.

I was on a show trip on 20Jan26 to JB Paradigm Mall and realised I forgot to bring my contact lens, went to another optometry but it was unable to provide the help needed. I finally stopped at Jac’s to ask if they have contact lens in loose pack. After knowing my situation, the young lady at store not only recommended the right kind of lens I needed, but also gave me an extra piece, a casing and a small bottle of solution for free, which had solved all my problems in one go. I forgot to ask her name but would like to express my gratitude for her heart-warming service.
