Tried the standard beef hotpot at CMJ Kitchen — the restaurant was quite busy with a lot of customers. The hotpot taste was average for me, maybe because I’m not too used to this style of flavour. Price is on the higher side, but understandable since beef is quite expensive.

Visited this Chaoshan beef hotpot place in JB after I had very good experience with Chaoshan hotpot restaurants in China. The quality is not bad and price is reasonable as well, although freshness cannot be compared to eating in China. Their beef cut 三趾 is nice, and their broth is also quite close to the original (clear and light).
