Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru's Halloween programme this year is Monster Academy, listed on the mall's official Happenings calendar from 7 to 31 October 2026. It is a free mall-floor run on Level 3, in front of Travel for All, aimed at families already in the building for shopping rather than a ticketed haunt.
The mall's own event page is short: title, dates, one poster. Visit Johor filled in the timetable on 2 October, which is the version shoppers actually need. Stamp hunt, pumpkin count, two slime workshops, then a runway and a candy trail on 31 October. If you only read last year's Halloween copy, you will show up on the wrong dates. Colourful Deepavali is still running in the same mall until 28 October, so the atrium is doing two festivals at once for most of the month.
Stamp hunt, pumpkins, and two slime Saturdays
Monster Passport Stamp Hunt runs 7 to 30 October. Count The Pumpkins runs 7 to 28 October. Both sit on the Level 3 floor, so you can do them between errands. The mall has not published prize lists or how many stamps complete a passport. Ask at the concierge on Upper Ground, near MARQ, on the day you go, because atrium games often change redemption while stocks last.
Slime Making Workshop is listed for 17 and 24 October only. Those are Saturdays. Visit Johor did not post start times or age limits. Workshops at this mall usually cap numbers, so treat those two dates as first-come rather than a drop-in all day. If you have a child who only wants slime, those are the two windows. The rest of the month is the hunt and the pumpkin count, not a daily stage show.
Mall hours are 10:00am to 10:00pm daily. Paradigm Mall JB opened in November 2017 on Jalan Skudai, 81200 Johor Bahru. Seven storeys, more than 500 shops, 4,200 covered car park bays, a 20,000 sq ft ice rink, and a 16-screen cinema. Level 3 is a mid-mall floor, not the ground atrium, so budget a lift or escalator from the car park rather than assuming you will walk into Halloween from the main doors.
31 October: Spooky Runway then Trick or Treat Trail
Halloween proper is packed into one afternoon. Monster Academy: Spooky Runway is at 11:45am on 31 October. Trick or Treat Trail is at 3:30pm the same day. Both are still Level 3, in front of Travel for All. Visit Johor called these the kemuncak, the peak. If you only have one slot, the trail at 3:30pm is the candy walk. The runway is the costume walk, 11:45am, which is early for a Saturday lunch crowd but easy if you are already in Skudai.
Bring a costume if the child wants to join the runway. The mall has not published judging rules or prizes. This is still a shopping-centre Halloween, not LEGOLAND. No ticket, no gate. You will share the floor with Deepavali shoppers until 28 October, then with ordinary weekend traffic on the 31st. Parkson, food court, and the cinema will be open as usual.
From Johor Bahru city centre the drive is about ten minutes via Skudai Highway. The mall also sits on Pasir Gudang Highway, the North-South Expressway, and the Second Link. Singapore plates use CIQ then the Second Link toward Skudai. There is no LRT stop. Grab or self-drive. Customer service is 07-2313 800. Two festivals in one mall through 28 October
Colourful Deepavali at the same mall runs 28 September to 28 October 2026. That programme is already covered separately. The practical clash is simple. If you come for kolam and festive booths, you are also walking past Monster Academy on Level 3. If you come for slime on 17 or 24 October, Deepavali is still on. Families doing both in one trip should split floors instead of expecting one atrium to hold everything.
