Official copy puts traditional kolams with golden elephant sculptures at North Court Island and South Court Island, plus hanging decorations on the same floor. Deepavali 2026 in Malaysia falls inside this window. The mall is treating the whole stretch as festive shopping with décor and a receipt gift.
The event page is short. Title, dates, two gift-with-purchase posters, a wide what's-on banner. What you actually need is the spend-and-redeem block. A single receipt of RM300 and above, paid with any bank card, cash, or other tender, redeems a stainless steel cup set. Weekdays cap at 80 redemptions. Weekends cap at 100. Each customer is limited to 3 redemptions per day. You must be an MVClub member and show the membership QR at the South Information Counter, Ground Floor, 10am to 10pm. Same-day purchase only. Combined or split receipts from one transaction are rejected. Stocks last.
What the receipt cannot include
The poster excludes SOGO, Village Grocer, banks, ATMs, EV charging, money changers, food courts, bills, insurance, credit top-ups on any platform, and Mid Valley Exhibition Centre. Specialty stores on a single receipt are the path. If the cup set is out, the mall may substitute another item. Tenants and mall staff cannot redeem for a customer. That last rule matters on a weekend when someone tries to send a colleague down with three receipts.
North Court and South Court are the photo stops. Go earlier on a weekday if you want the kolam without a queue of Singapore day-trippers. Mall hours are 10:00am to 10:00pm daily. The Ground Floor is also the Maybank Singapore Tourist Privileges run, 14 September to 31 December 2026. That programme is a separate card promo. Maybank Singapore Dining Privileges runs 8 May to 31 December. Neither replaces the Deepavali cup set. You can stack a Maybank spend on a specialty store receipt if the receipt still clears the RM300 bar and stays off the exclusion list.

The mall's upcoming-week board also listed The Travel Store pop-up at North Court, Ground Floor, 26 to 31 October 2026, and Tefal by Sogo at the Village Grocer storefront, Lower Ground, on the same dates. Both end on 31 October. Deepavali décor stays up until 15 November. Tastefully Expo, 13 to 15 November at MVEC, is already covered on this site. The 64th TCE Baby Expo follows on 7 to 9 November in the exhibition halls. Happy Deepavali is the mall-floor campaign. The expos are ticketless halls upstairs or in MVEC. Budget the lift.
Address is No. 1, Persiaran Southkey 1, Kota Southkey, 80150 Johor Bahru. From JB Sentral, Causeway Link T21 and city buses toward Southkey. Grab from Sentral is about 15 minutes off-peak. St. Giles Southkey sits on the same plot if you are already staying upstairs. Parking is the mall podium and basement. First hours are cheap by JB standards. Saturday 31 October is Halloween plus the last weekend of Deepavali GWP plus IKEA's last Sorted Lah day in Tampoi. If you only have one Southkey trip, a weekday before 15 November is quieter for the kolam and the cup set.
SOGO's own October deal window, 12 to 25 October, has ended. Carlo Rino and Bonia still advertise festive bags on the mall deal rail. Those are tenant ads, separate from the mall GWP. For the cup set, start at a specialty store, keep one receipt, then walk to the South Information Counter with the MVClub QR. Download the app before you park. Weekend redemption hits 100 and stops. Weekday 80 stops earlier than you think if a tour bus lands at 11am.
