Hidden deep inside small corner of the mall but still people queueing, malaysia book of record published on the wall: these 2 factors were making me feel this is a good place. When I looked at the menu I felt want to try many things but unfortunately there is only 2 of us so we couldn’t order more. Decided to dine here for our lunch and ordered the rice with roast duck + pork + charsiew, the sour spicy vege soup, the xiaolong bao and one plain dry noodle. But…. The more you expect the bigger the disappointment. The roast duck has no danggui flavor at all, not even the aroma. Its texture was good but the seasoning for taste is totally out, I couldn’t understand how this can be the most sold roast duck in Malaysia. The roast pork was only so so, really super ordinary level. Charsiew better but same problem like the duck, nice texture but a bit out on taste (duck almost has no taste at all). The xiaolongbao also a total failure, no umami but a little pork stink. Sour spicy vege soup was the best and I liked it, the sourness and spiciness was well balanced and the texture of the vege was good. Can know that they select proper vege, not too old not too young and the cooking time was controlled well. The plain noodle was good too. If I would to rank the food we order by sequence: sour spicy vege soup, plain spicy dry noodle, charsiew, roast duck, roast pork, xiaolongbao. The environment was ok. Like many other shop, you have to order via barcode and you still pay for service tax when you don’t feel there is any services enjoyed. I’m happy with the environment and the portion but feeling its price a bit elevated for this level of taste quality.

I was here twice within a month. 1st time - The roasted duck was infused with Angelica herbs and nice. The prawns in the hargow tasted nice. The vegetables are good. 2nd time - The roasted pork is nice. The horfun - ingredients are good except for the prawns. The prawns are not fresh like the hargow. The prawns are quite tasteless like they have been cooked long time and kept frozen.
